Terms of Service

Effective 2026-09-27. These terms are between you and Flow Lab (“we”) for the HoursOwed app, the time card calculator and this website. Contact: trading.flowlab@gmail.com.

Using HoursOwed

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to buy Pro. You may use the free time card calculator without an account. The app needs an active subscription for its paid features. Use it for lawful purposes and do not try to break, copy or resell it.

Subscriptions and payment

HoursOwed Pro is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record, and Gumroad’s terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown before you pay; Gumroad adds sales tax or VAT where required. A subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. The Lifetime plan is a one-time payment for the web app and its updates, with no renewals; an App Store version will be sold separately.

Free trial: you can try Pro in the app for 7 days without payment details. It ends by itself; nothing is charged unless you then buy a plan.

You can cancel at any time with the “Manage membership” link in your Gumroad receipt email, or with “Manage or cancel subscription” in the app’s Settings. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for; we do not charge you again.

Refunds

If HoursOwed does not work for you, write to trading.flowlab@gmail.com within 14 days of a payment and we will refund it. Where your local law gives you more rights, those rights apply.

Your data

Your shifts are stored on your device, not with us (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for keeping a backup, for example by exporting a CSV. We cannot restore data that was deleted from your device.

Calculations are estimates

HoursOwed and the calculator help you track your time. They follow common overtime rules but do not know your employment contract, your state’s special rules, rounding practices or deductions. They are not legal, tax or payroll advice. If a number matters, check it with your employer or labor office.

No warranty and limits

We work to keep HoursOwed accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.

Ending access

You can stop using HoursOwed at any time. We may end access to Pro if a license key is shared publicly or used to abuse the service; if that happens without your fault, we will refund the unused part of your payment.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change affects your paid subscription, we will tell you in the app or by email before it applies, and you can cancel before it does.
