What we run

Four processes under one roof, so a bracket does not travel across town between operations.

  • Fibre laser cutting 0.8 - 6.0 mm

Nitrogen for stainless and aluminium, oxygen for thicker mild steel. Nesting is our problem, not yours: send one part and we fit it into the sheet we are already running.

  • Press brake forming up to 3.1 m

Air bending with a measured bend deduction per material and thickness, so the flat pattern you get back matches the part you wanted.

  • Welding and assembly MIG, TIG, spot

Weldments up to 1.8 m on the table, fixtured when the run is worth it. Dressed and blended where the drawing says so.

  • Finishing powder, zinc, deburr

Deburring in house. Powder coat and clear zinc plate go to two plants we work with; the lead time on your quote already includes their queue.

No drawing yet? Send a dimensioned sketch and a photo. We have quoted plenty of parts that started life on the back of a delivery note.

How a quote happens

Five steps, in this order, every time. The days below are what we actually hold ourselves to.

  1. You send the part

The form below, or email with a DXF or STEP file. Quantity and finish matter more than a perfect drawing.

    same day

  2. We read it for manufacturability

Hole size against thickness, bend reliefs, flange lengths the brake can actually reach. If something will fight the tooling, you hear about it now and not after the first article.

    within 1 business day

  3. You get a firm quote

Unit price at your quantity, price at the next break up, lead time, and any change we suggest to the part with the money it saves.

    1 business day

  4. First article before the run

On anything over 25 parts we cut and form one, measure it, and send you the report. The run starts when you say the part is right.

    2 - 3 days in

  5. Production and delivery

Standard work ships in 6 business days from approval. Finishing adds 2. You get the packing list and the measured report with the parts.

    6 - 10 business days

Straight answers

Including the ones that lose us work. Better now than three weeks in.

What do you need before you can quote?

A DXF or STEP file, the quantity, the material and the finish. A PDF drawing works too, it just takes us an hour longer because we redraw the flat. If the part is a rectangle with holes, the form above is genuinely enough.

What do you not do?

No castings, no forgings, no injection moulding, no machining from solid. We do not anodise in house and we do not take on painting to an automotive appearance spec. Tube laser work goes to a shop we trust and we will tell you it is going there.

Will you take a single part?

Yes. Setup still has to be paid for, so a one-off costs more per part than fifty, and our job minimum is $150. Prototypes that turn into production runs are most of our work.

How fast can you go if it is urgent?

Standard work ships in 6 business days. We can pull a job forward when the machine has room, and that carries a 25 percent surcharge which the estimate above adds for you when your date is earlier than our normal lead time. If we cannot make your date we say so the same day rather than book it and hope.

Who owns the drawings and the flat patterns?

You do. We keep your files to run repeat orders and we do not cut your parts for anyone else. Ask us to delete them after the job and we do.

The estimate on this page - how close is it?

Close enough to decide with, not close enough to order against. It uses our machine rates, cutting speeds and setup times, but it assumes a plain part. Deep flanges, close-together bends and thin webs all cost more than the arithmetic knows.
