Task. A small roofing company's website took about 20 seconds to show its main picture on a phone, the text was tiny, the phone number could not be tapped, and the contact form posted to a page that no longer existed. Enquiries were being lost and nobody knew.

Proof. Both versions were measured with the same script on a phone-sized browser over weak 4G, three runs each, median shown. The problem list went from 4 serious, 2 affecting enquiries and search and 6 small to none. The company is invented and the timings come from a test server, so a real host will be a little slower.
