Your idea as working code: every number exposed as a setting, alerts that fire on your condition, clean visuals. Three indicators I built as examples.
A TradingView indicator built for my own research first. Two cumulative delta lines on one pane — spot against perp — with the background lit the moment they disagree. Perp flow is leveraged and eventually has to be unwound. Spot flow is money that actually changed hands. Averaging them into one number hides the only configuration worth watching.
The detection threshold is not a fixed number. It is the average gap between the two lines over the last 200 bars, scaled by a user factor — so sensitivity travels across coins and timeframes instead of being tuned for one chart and broken everywhere else. Accumulation anchors to day, week or month depending on the timeframe, and every reset renders as a line break so it can never be mistaken for a real move. All series are requested with lookahead_off: nothing repaints.
Previous day, week and month extremes drawn from the bar that actually made them through to current price — not floating lines with no origin. Plus the opens of Tokyo, London and New York in true local time, with daylight saving handled automatically. Every level and every session has its own switch, above a master kill-switch that leaves individual settings intact.
Asia, London and New York boxes in each city's own time, with daylight saving handled automatically. Daily and weekly VWAP with standard-deviation bands, plus a VWAP anchored at each session open and drawn inside its box — so you see where that session's volume actually traded. The first close beyond a finished session's high or low is marked once, on confirmed bars only: no repainting.
